School Opening in Gujarat

Physical education will be resumed from Monday 26th July 2021 in the schools of class 9 to 11 in the state schools. A decision in this regard has been taken in the meeting of the core committee chaired by CM Rupani.

In this meeting of the core committee, in view of the state of transition of corona in the state and the declining number of covid cases, a detailed review and deliberation was held on resumption of daily activities in schools etc. as per routine. Accordingly, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided to start classes 9 to 11 in schools across the state from July 26, 2021. These classes can be resumed with 50 per cent capacity. Not only this, the attendance of students is also required. Students coming to study in school classes will also have to bring their parent’s consent form. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also decided in the core committee that the online education system will also be maintained.

Along with this, the Chief Minister has also decided in the core committee that the online education system will also be maintained. The Department of Education will also have to ensure compliance with the Corona Transition Control Guidelines-SOP when the standard 9 to 11 classes start in schools from July 26, 2021.

The state government has earlier started higher secondary standard 12 classes as well as diploma-degree college classes with 50 per cent capacity from July 9. Now, school classes for Std. 9th to 11th will also start physically from next 26th July.

The meeting of the core committee was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Energy Minister Saurabh Patel, Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja as well as Chief Secretary Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Home Department Pankaj Kumar. Additional Chief Secretary for Health Manoj Agarwal and other secretaries were present.
